About us

SpecXpress Opticians have been based in the heart of County Down for almost 11 years with the opening of it's flagship store in Downpatrick in 2005.
The Downpatrick store is based in a prime location on the 'town side' of the Grove Shopping Centre near the entrance to the Saint Patrick's Centre. The shops location benefits from free parking based just around the corner.

Four years later in 2009 Specsxpress opened its second store on the Main Street in Newcastle County Down.

Both stores are run by local opticians Matthew Higgins in the Downpatrick store and Declan King in the Newcastle store ably assisted by manager Elaine McAuley, Optical assistants Anna Venney and Chris Murray.
